Free DAW Audacity and Muse Hub Platform Receive Major Updates

[Monthly Mixing] Muse Group has announced significant updates to Audacity and Muse Hub.

Muse Group stated that with this update, Muse Hub has expanded into a more accessible audio store for creators.

The free DAW Audacity, in its 3.6 update, now includes a new UI, mastering channel, and compressor and limiter effects.

This updated version of Muse Hub has added various AI-powered programs. These include 'ACE Studio', which completes vocal parts using AI when MIDI and lyrics are input, 'Samplab', an AI audio sample editing tool, and 'WavTool', an AI-based DAW with audio generation and stem separation tools.

Additionally, through collaborations with Solid State Logic and Baby Audio, VocalStrip2 and Crystalline plugins are included in the platform. The 'Muse Sounds' category now includes libraries from Spitfire Audio and Orchestral Tools.

However, except for free products like Musescore and Audacity, other products require either a trial version or purchase to use. This appears to be an attempt to unify the purchase, license activation, and installation processes of various brand products into a single platform.

Muse Group indicated that they are continuously recruiting developers to participate in Muse Hub, suggesting that the variety of brands and categories will expand in the future. Eugeny Naidenov, CEO of Muse Group, said, "Muse Hub is a fantastic publishing platform for developers to reach buyers," adding, "We are looking for future superstar developers with the most innovative software in the audio and music fields."

Muse Hub can be downloaded for free along with Musescore or Audacity. More details can be found on the Muse Hub website.

Meanwhile, Muse Group, established in 1998 when the guitarist platform Ultimate Guitar acquired MuseScore and Audacity, produces and services tools and resources for music composition, production, and education. Recently, they also acquired Hal Leonard, known as the world's largest sheet music publisher.
