iZotope Releases Intelligent Tube Saturation Plugin 'Plasma'

[Monthly Mixing] iZotope has announced the release of a new tube saturator plugin, 'Plasma'.

Plasma is the first product in iZotope's new plugin series, the 'Catalyst Series'. This plugin features innovative 'Flux Saturation' technology that applies precise tube saturation where needed.

Unlike traditional saturators that apply static effects, Plasma's dynamic processing offers a more nuanced approach, enabling consistently balanced mixes and masters.

The Flux Saturation technology allows Plasma to identify frequency areas that need boosting and apply tube saturation only to those areas when necessary. It applies Flux Saturation according to one of 24 target profiles.

Users can fine-tune Plasma's saturation with Attack and Release settings. The Overdrive fader can be raised for a more powerful crunch sound.

The Channel Modes and Frequency Handles features allow focusing saturation on specific frequencies, mid or side channels, and transient or sustain parts of the audio.

Additionally, 49 presets are provided for use from individual mixes to the entire master bus.

Plasma is priced at $49 MSRP, with a special offer of $39 for existing iZotope product owners until September 26.
