Free Felt Piano Virtual Instrument 'Dusty Felts' Released

[Monthly Mixing] Somerville Sounds has announced 'Dusty Felts', a virtual instrument sampling a felt piano.

This plugin recreates the unique warm and rich characteristics of creator Jon Meyer's actual Kawai felt piano as a virtual instrument.

The developer stated that users can explore the "beautiful imperfections" of a classic felt piano through charming vintage lo-fi sounds and retro elements such as wow and flutter effects and adjustable amp hiss.

Dusty Felts runs on Mac OSX 11 or later (supporting Intel and Apple Silicon, i5 or better CPU, minimum 8GB RAM) and Windows 7 or later (8GB RAM).

It supports VST3, AAX, and AU formats and has been tested in DAWs including Cubase, Ableton Live, Logic, Reaper, ProTools, Reason 10, FL Studio, and Presonus Studio One.

Somerville Sounds is offering this product on a 'Pay What You Want' model. Users can pay and download as much as they want, and it's also possible to download for free.
