MyFi Studio Presents Nam June Paik-Inspired Work in Special Korean Performance

[Monthly Mixing] Realation Space is hosting a special performance introducing 'MyFi Studio', a Miami-based multimedia production studio and performance duo.

The performance, titled 'MyFi Studio and Friends', will be held on Saturday, September 28th, from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Realation Space annex located in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Admission is free, but entry may be limited depending on venue capacity.

This performance is organized to celebrate the special moment of MyFi Studio welcoming 'Psients', Realation Space's ninth sponsored artist and first studio resident artist. Psients has invited MyFi Studio to showcase their unique music using equipment prepared for their Japan tour.

MyFi Studio, co-founded by Aimee Rubensteen and Dr. Josh Eisenberg, is a multimedia production studio and performance duo that develops electronic musical instruments and interactive art tools, participating in various collaborative projects, public programs, and live performances.

Notably, this year they have been engaging in innovative activities such as creating 454 instruments in real-time, inspired by video artist Nam June Paik.

From August to September 2024, MyFi Studio plans to offer interactive art and music-making experiences through a series of electronic music labs in collaboration with The Bass. This project is inspired by Nam June Paik's early musical roots and his work 'Internet Dweller', allowing participants to play and own MyFi Studio's new electronic music instruments.

The performance will take place on Saturday, September 28th, between 1:00 PM and 6:30 PM at the Realation Space annex (1st floor, 166-7 Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul).
