Plugin Alliance Expands Free Plugin Collection to 20

[Monthly Mixing] Plugin Alliance has expanded its collection of free plugins for mixing, mastering, and music production to 20.

The expanded PA FREE bundle now includes several plugins for guitarists and producers.

The list of 20 plugins is as follows:

Guitar effect pedal plugins:

  • bx_blackdist2 (ProCo Sound RAT 2™ emulation)
  • bx_distorange (distortion, Kurt Cobain and Steve Vai sound)
  • bx_greenscreamer (TS808 style overdrive)
  • bx_yellowdrive (classic overdrive pedal)
  • bx_metal2 (Boss MT-2™ emulation, metal tone)
  • bx_bluechorus2 (classic "Blue" chorus pedal emulation)
  • bx_opto Pedal (simplified version of Optical Compression Tone Monster)
  • bx_tuner (guitar and bass tuner)

Guitar amp simulators:

  • bx_shredspread (M/S width expansion, adjusting guitar sound width)
  • bx_megasingle (Mesa Boogie amp emulation)
  • bx_rockrack V3 Player (free version of bx_rockrack)

Mixing plugins:

  • bx_cleansweep V2 (Hi-Pass/Lo-Pass filter)
  • bx_subfilter (sub-frequency adjustment)
  • Free Ranger (4-band graphic EQ)
  • niveau filter (tone adjustment)

Mastering and metering:

  • bx_masterdesk Classic (high-end analog mastering system)
  • bx_meter (Peak, RMS, Dynamic Range meter)

Other:

  • bx_solo (M/S and stereo width adjustment)
  • Double MS (microphone signal decoding)
  • bx_boom! (kick drum enhancement)

To use the free plugins, users need to create a free account on the Plugin Alliance website, download the installation manager, and then install the desired plugin format (AAX DSP, AAX Native, VST3, AU).
