[Monthly Mixing] Native Instruments has released 'Alicia's Electric Keys', a virtual instrument featuring the personal electric grand piano sounds of Grammy Award-winning singer Alicia Keys.
Native Instruments had previously released a virtual instrument called 'Alicia's Keys' in 2010. While the previous version sampled a Yamaha C3 Neo grand piano, this new Alicia's Electric Keys samples the CP-70 Electric Grand used by Alicia Keys.
The CP-70 sound used in hit songs like 'Girl on Fire' was precisely sampled at Alicia Keys' New York studio, and notably includes the artist's personal effect chain.
According to the manufacturer, Alicia's Electric Keys combines rich acoustic tones with unlimited electric possibilities, making it suitable for modern applications. It can either preserve the instrument's classic characteristics or transform it into various tones like pads or guitars.
This plugin was created in collaboration with Alicia's Grammy Award-winning engineer Ann Mincieli and Galaxy Instruments.
The plugin includes 85 sounds and integrates perfectly with Native Instruments Kontrol S-Series keyboards. It can be used with Kontakt 7.10.5 or higher and is also compatible with the free Kontakt Player.
The regular price is $149, and more details can be found on the Native Instruments website.
