[Monthly Mixing] Native Instruments has announced 'Scene: Saffron', a compact 1GB cinematic instrument.
Saffron, the first product in the 'Scene Series' - a streamlined instrument collection designed for composers - is a virtual instrument that allows for the creation of creative worlds through blendable cinematic textures.
Featuring a central XY pad, it enables simple blending and layering of orchestral sounds including woodwinds, strings, and synthesizers to create atmosphere. It comes with over 120 presets and randomization features.
Key features include ▲Selection and blending of 16 sound sources, ▲Built-in effects such as reverb, delay, and modulation, ▲Polyphonic aftertouch compatibility.
Additionally, it boasts a very small installation size of 1GB and an affordable price of $29.
Native Instruments stated that Saffron would be an ideal tool for everyone from composition beginners to professionals who need to express on-screen moments through sound.
