Donald Trump Addresses AI-Generated Taylor Swift Endorsement Controversy

Former President Donald Trump has spoken out about the recent controversy surrounding AI-generated images of Taylor Swift allegedly endorsing his 2024 presidential campaign.

In an interview with Fox Business Network's "The Evening Edit," Trump addressed the issue and shared his thoughts on the dangers of artificial intelligence.

Trump clarified that he did not create the doctored images, stating, "I didn't generate them. Somebody came out. They said, oh, look at this. These were all made up by other people." He emphasized the potential risks associated with AI technology, adding, "A.I. is always very dangerous in that way."

The former president also claimed that he has been a victim of AI-generated content himself. "It's happening with me too. They're making — having me speak. I speak perfectly, I mean, absolutely perfectly on A.I., and I'm, like, endorsing other products and things. It's a little bit dangerous out there," Trump explained.

The controversy began when Trump reposted a series of images on his Truth Social account, including doctored photos of Swift supporters wearing "Swifties for Trump" T-shirts and an image mimicking the iconic "I Want You For U.S. Army" poster featuring Swift. Trump captioned the post with "I accept!"

Swift, who endorsed Joe Biden in the 2020 election, has not yet made any public endorsements for the 2024 presidential race. The pop star's team has not commented on the AI-generated images or Trump's recent statements.
