The Get Up Kids Announce UK and EU Tour for 2025 to Celebrate 25th Anniversary of 'Something to Write Home About'

The Get Up Kids, the influential emo and indie rock band from Kansas City, have announced a UK and European tour for 2025 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their seminal album, "Something to Write Home About".

This announcement comes alongside the digital release of a deluxe reissue of the album via Polyvinyl Record Co.

25th Anniversary Deluxe Reissue

The 25th-anniversary edition of "Something to Write Home About" has been digitally released and is available on all streaming platforms. This remastered version, handled by Joe LaPorta at Sterling Sound, includes:

  • The original album
  • A second LP containing 12 rare or previously unreleased demos
  • Four-track acoustic recordings by Matt Pryor

A physical edition, set for release on September 20th, 2024, will feature an expanded 28-page large format full-color booklet with handwritten lyrics, photos, and more.
