Solid State Logic (SSL) has launched the MKII versions of its USB audio interfaces, the 'SSL 2' and 'SSL 2+'.
Building on the success of their predecessors, the MKII series features improvements including 32-bit support, enhanced dynamic range, and an additional headphone output (SSL 2).
Both models feature SSL-designed microphone preamps, boasting a 64dB gain range and an impressive 116.5dB dynamic range.
The SSL 2 MKII offers a 2-in/2-out configuration, while the SSL 2+ MKII provides 2-in/4-out. Both units incorporate next-generation 32-bit/192kHz converters. They also feature the 'Legacy 4K Analogue Enhancement' circuit, inspired by the iconic SSL 4000 series console, delivering classic analog sound.
Both models have relocated their input connectors from the rear to the front panel. They support dual headphone outputs and zero-latency monitoring, with the SSL 2+ MKII additionally offering MIDI I/O and CV control functionality.
Pricing is set at $229.99 for the SSL 2 MKII and $299.99 for the SSL 2+ MKII. Both models come bundled with the SSL Production Pack software suite, valued at $1,100.
