[Monthly Mixing] A new mixing plugin called 'Spike AI' that replicates the expertise of renowned mixing engineer Spike Stent is set to be released.
Spike AI encapsulates Spike Stent's decades of experience mixing for a wide range of artists, including The Beatles, Beyoncé, Post Malone, Oasis, Ed Sheeran, and Harry Styles, into an AI model.
Developed based on an extensive dataset of mixing sessions, Spike AI operates as a plugin within a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). Users can request mixing adjustments through a chatbot interface, allowing for high-quality mixing without requiring professional technical knowledge, according to the manufacturer.
The pricing model uses a credit system, with one token being used per minute.
Spike Stent stated, "Spike AI aims to provide something unique and accessible to everyone. It will help artists and producers who cannot afford to hire an engineer like me."
Spike AI is currently in beta and is scheduled for an official release in the first quarter of 2025. More detailed information can be found on the official website.
