Positive Grid Launches Smart Guitar Practice Amp 'Spark 2'

[Monthly Mixing] Positive Grid has announced 'Spark 2', a next-generation Bluetooth-operated smart guitar practice amp.

Spark 2 is a 50-watt output premium speaker designed for excellent sound quality, featuring a new DSP engine with twice the processing power compared to its predecessor, a built-in looper, and Spark AI.

Equipped with Positive Grid's proprietary 'Sonic IQ Computational Audio' technology, Spark 2 offers new HD amp models, multi-band dynamic range compression, and virtual bass enhancement.

The built-in 'Groove Looper' provides hundreds of drum tracks. 'Spark AI', which applies AI technology, allows users to describe their desired tone through a smartphone app, which then suggests and enables downloading of appropriate tones.

Spark 2 can store eight user-defined presets and can be used for up to 12 hours with an optionally available rechargeable battery. It offers various connection options including Bluetooth connectivity, headphone output, stereo line output, and a USB-C port.

The amp is available in pearl or black finish and is set to be unveiled through a special live premiere event on August 1st. The regular price is $299, with a special early bird price available during the pre-order period.
