[Monthly Mixing] Moog has announced a new semi-modular synthesizer, 'Labyrinth'.
This product presents a different approach from the traditional Moog sound. According to the manufacturer, Labyrinth draws inspiration from classic percussion synthesizers and modern generative techniques.
It combines newly designed voltage-controlled wavefolders and state variable filters to provide both additive and subtractive synthesis.
Labyrinth is expected to encourage users' experimental music production through its new voice architecture, unique oscillators, different filter topology, wavefolding, and parallel processing capabilities.
Using the 60HP format like Mother 32, DFAM, Subharmonicon, and Spectravox, Labyrinth can be used as a standalone unit or configured as part of other Moog products or Eurorack systems.
Labyrinth is currently on sale for $599, and more details can be found on the Moog website.
