TASCAM Releases DA-3000SD Master Recorder for High-Quality Audio Recording

[Monthly Mixing] TASCAM has launched the 'DA-3000SD', a 2-channel DSD/PCM master recorder for high-quality audio recording.

The DA-3000SD is a successor to the existing DA-3000 model, offering enhanced control over the recording process through support for high-capacity SD cards and user-centric feature improvements.

Supporting up to 512GB SDXC cards, it enables over 100 hours of 2-channel audio recording at 24-bit/192kHz, providing rich functionality suitable for recording studios of all sizes.

In response to user feedback, the internal oscillator now features volume control, allowing for more precise calibration.

With DSD (Direct Stream Digital) support, it functions as a professional-grade standalone recorder. Audio recorded in DSD can be accurately converted to PCM file formats, ensuring lossless reproduction of archived audio even as audio formats evolve in the future.

The dedicated output volume control allows for precise monitoring, and multiple units can be connected to create a DSD multitrack environment capable of recording up to 16 tracks simultaneously.

Additional features include an auto file save function to prevent data loss during power failures and a panel lock feature for safe operation. It supports various inputs and outputs for analog and digital audio, and includes USB memory and keyboard ports.

The compact design allows for convenient 1U rack mounting wherever needed.

Paul Youngblood, TASCAM's Product Marketing Director, stated, "The DA-3000SD builds upon the success of the original DA-3000, offering more features that make it an ideal choice for various audio archiving and mastering functions."
